Technology

Pupils enjoy the practical side of this subject as they are able to use a wide range of tools, machinery and equipment to produce quality products. Members of the
Department take pride in seeing something that pupils have designed, formed and shaped into a working product.

Key Stage 3
Four lessons a fortnight

Pupils make and design in the following areas: Food, Graphics, Systems and Textiles

Key Stage 4
Pupils can choose from GCSE courses in Graphics, Resistant Materials, Systems and Textiles. Link Courses with Halton College leading to NVQ's are offered in Construction, Catering and Engineering.

Facilities
Four specialist fully resourced rooms, three of which have interactive whiteboards
Extra-curricular activities include clubs and visits.

Key Stage 4 Textiles
To celebrate a fantastic start to Year 10, Fairfield GCSE Textiles pupils took the opportunity to 'strike a pose' and showcase their talent and fashion creations. Pupils modeled skirts which they individually designed, whilst striking their best pose. Kate Moss has nothing on these girls!

Well done to all the girls for their hard work and to Mr Smith who was the fashion photographer! You can view the fashion shoot by clicking on the Gallery
