Business Studies
We study The Applied Business Studies (double award) GCSE. The qualification at the end is 2 GCSE’s. The course is taught over 5 lessons every fortnight, and there is a requirement that the students study independently for 1 hour per week on top of the home set.
The exam board is ICAA and their website www.icaa.com provides a lot of information and resources for the course.
The course is made up of 3 units with equally weighted marks
Units 1 and 2 are coursework’s
Unit 3 is an external exam

Looks at 2 businesses- Manchester Airport and 1independently researched by the student.
