Mrs Shepherd - Head of Modern Languages

We are delighted that Mrs Watson has achieved this status and it is well deserved for the exceptional contribution she makes to teaching and learning at Fairfield High.  She is one of around 50 teachers nationwide who have achieved this status so far and we plan to use her talents to share and further develop excellent practice across the school.

Mr Hughes

Being awarded ‘Excellent Teacher’ status is in no small measure a reflection of the fact that for the last 26 years I have chosen to teach at Fairfield High School. The ethos at Fairfield is one of genuine respect and care for each other, pupils and staff alike, and a desire to get the best out of everyone. I have been privileged to work with truly professional colleagues and fantastic pupils from whom I have learned so much over the years. I would like to thank every last one of them for their constant support, friendship and guidance which have helped me to become the teacher I am today.
